The Community Health Centre offers many health and wellness programs and everyone is welcome to participate.
Many of our programs are offered in our neighboring communities and most programs are FREE of charge.

Breast feeding support is offered to all women as availability presents. Moms may book an appointment with a NP, RN or dietitian for assistance and support. Moms may be further referred to a lactation consultant through Lambton Public Health. Breast pumps are available for use for one month with the purchase of their own tubing.

The North Lambton CHC has hospital grade breast pumps available for lending for personal use to help you establish breastfeeding. The use of a breast pump is free; however, a breast pumping kit is available to purchase and yours to keep. The use of the North Lambton CHC hospital-grade breast pump is for temporary support at the discretion of North Lambton CHC staff to ensure we can assist as many breastfeeding families as possible. This will ensure fairness to support families with the youngest infants.

Meet with a Registered Dietitian and learn how to introduce solids foods to your little one’s meals or discuss health eating strategies for picky eaters. Workshops may include learning how to make homemade baby food or creating a balanced meals giving them the best start possible. Circles is a transformative community collaborative committed to the elimination of poverty by exploiting the power of caring communities working together. Circles supports low income individuals and families to reach their goal of self sufficiency through education and employment. Circles provides weekly dinner nights with guest speakers, various education topics as well as mentoring support from middle class volunteers (allies). The Afterschool Program is a FREE healthy lifestyle program for children in grades 1-8. The Program focuses on physical activity, healthy eating, and personal wellness. Children involved in the program will participate in a variety of activities while having fun. The program is delivered from September until June and does not operate during Christmas Holidays, March Break or P.D. Days.
A healthy snack is available at each program day to encourage participants to make healthy food choices and try new things. Children will also participate in the food preparation so that they can learn to recognize, independently prepare and enjoy simple healthy snacks.
Guest Speakers will occasionally visit the program to provide information on many different topics that are relevant to the children and youth. Examples of these topics include healthy eating habits, personal safety, and many more.

Classes involve walking, cardiovascular exercise, strengthening, balance and stretching exercises. All components of the class can be modified for all fitness levels and abilities. Group uses weights, resistance bands, poles and balls.

Bring your walking shoes! Meet once a week at the indoor track, located at The Shores Arena. All walking speeds welcome.

5 local Trails in Lambton County. Once a week for 5 weeks we meet at a local trail to walk together.
Virtual Exercise
Participants join in with ZOOM to participate in a low impact workout using their own body weight and exercise bands. All exercises can be modified and participants are encouraged to go at their own pace.
