We would like to thank the Forest Legion Ladies Auxiliary for their generous donation to the NLCHC Afterschool Program!

Sending a heartfelt THANK-YOU to the Lambton Shores Swans for their generous donation of $1816.00 to our Opening Doors Program! With the rising cost of food and increased need within our program, this comes at a very critical time. We will use these funds to purchase program supplies and support our participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Well done Swans!

We recently participated in the ” official” receiving of the funds granted to The Opening Doors program by The Rotary Club of Sarnia. These funds will be used to incorporate more fresh produce into our ever expanding cooking classes. Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, attendance to our cooking and nutrition classes has more than doubled! Thank- you The Rotary Club of Sarnia for your generous donation.

The Opening Doors Program, would like to take this opportunity to recognize the generous donations to our 2021 garden project from our community organizations and businesses. Food has the power to bring people together, build health and connection, and inspire people to become engaged in issues that matter to them. Our garden provides gardening skills that increase nutrition knowledge, offers dignified food access, reduces food insecurity, and increases social networks. These impacts help members make lasting changes to their health.
