July 7, 2023, Lambton Shores, Ontario – The North Lambton Community Health Centre (NLCHC) Migrant Worker Project is hosting our first MWP CUP Soccer Tournament in Lambton County! To be held on August 20th at the Taxandria Soccer Club in Arkona. The purpose of the MWP Cup is to give migrant workers the opportunity to have fun, be active, interact with other community members and build a sense of belonging for the workers in the community in which they live and work. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend and cheer on the teams! The Optimist Club of Forest will have a food booth with breakfast sandwiches and BBQ hot dogs and hamburgers for purchase. We will also have a number of door prizes to enter to win!
Kathy Bresett, Executive Director of the North Lambton Community Health Centre would like to invite the community! “We are looking forward to hosting this team event to showcase the talented migrant workers in our community. Everyone is welcome.”
“Congratulations to the North Lambton CHC’s Migrant Worker Project team on the MWP Cup. This is a great opportunity to strengthen relationships and build connections amongst all the communities that live, work, and play in Sarnia-Lambton.
